I'll be there man! This will be my 7th time seeing them in my hometown since they first played here in 94 with L7. The Celebrity can have problems with their sound but either way I'm sure it will be a great show. Also Altamont is starting the rest of the tour opening! I'll probly film Altamont if possible. Cya there!

Did anyone tape the show?  I saw a few people with cameras there, I tried to tape but I had some drunk moron next to me that kept bumping into me and getting in the way of the stage.  If anyone taped it or knows someone who did please let me know.  I really need a copy of the show.  I was one of the people who went to the Jackson Hole show that got cancelled so some of my friends that couldnt go to this Vegas show like I was able to need it....and I wouldnt mind having it also.  It was a great show!

Holy shi!!! Altamont, Pornt, BB, and Melvins all in a row!!! This was the first show of the tour Altamont played for the west coast. They played 4 or maybe 5 songs. Then after a 20 min break Porn came out, the same as the other show reviews, Dale in Elvis attire etc.. Moss as santa claus etc... This set totally fucked with everybody. The whole evening leading up to the actual melvins set seemed like an illusion. I think people thought Porn were the melvins fucking with the crowd and then BB come out and some people thought Jared was Buzz etc... lol. But holy shit was every one of the bands on top of their game! I've seen the Melvins like 16 times over the last 10 years and this was the most refreshing and the most confortable I've seen them play. I filmed Altamont and BB in LA earlier this year so I got to give them DVDs I made which was cool.
The draw for vegas was great, considering the other venues the melvins have played for only 50 people or less. Maybe because the weekly papers did a review before hand...
The setlist I don't remember but similar to what they have been playing, almost the new album, the 3 off Houdini, Oven?, the bit,
revolve, and they closed with lovely butterflies with the whol drumming madness the chimp bit. lol. And no I didn't film this show unfortunatley, I could have but wanted to enjoy this show.
The funny bits of the show were when Porn played and everyone kept yelling in between there "minimal sludge piece" these stoners in the bathroom were all pissed but mindboggled at the same time complaining that Santa Claus didn't play any guitar but just kept fucking off with the peddles.... I thought that was the highlight of the Porn set was the feedback and improv between that sludge piece. Also at hte end of the show dale thru his gloves to a girl in the front row that we/he knows and some dick grabbed it and dale went up to him and smaked him across the face with his other glove and gave it to the girl. funny as hell!

When did Altamont play earlier this year in Los Angeles?  What venue did they play at?

Altamont played at some wherehouse/art/skate space downtown in LA. They played on a halfpipe and had some really cool movies playing behind them on the wall. Awesome show. It was sometime around the begining of this year.

hey bUTTHOLE... there was an extensive review of that show around here somewhere.  including a diagram of the stage and layout.  snoop around in the show reviews, you'll find it.

I recall the reviewer talking about jared putting someone in a scissor lock.
