It's strange, sometimes when I cant sleep I walk into the kitchen and say 'Hey Abe, do you have any sleeping pills?  And creepy baby says, Dude, you need natural sleep.  Try some valerian root.  And then I roll my eyes and turn around and go back to sleep.  Gopher never says a word.. just stares.

Hey Butty, that was awesome! Like a bad shroom trip or something but very funny. I take valerian root at bedtime on occasion and that shit always knocks me on my ass! Nighty-night for all night long, no side effects from what I can tell. Nice gopher.

Really??? I'll have to try the root.  I'm taking other things..and it seems like I just pass out.  Ive got weird sleep habits that need to be fixed.

This topic really deserves its own thread.  I have tried melatonin too with some success. Tried L-tryptophan too years ago before it was banned in the states.

Do you have a problem getting up when you take valerian?  I have s ton of trouble falling asleep.  It's kind of difficult with a CPAP mask on.

Valerian has never given me a groggy drug-like hangover in the morning.  Nyquil on the other hand, always does.  The valerian sleep is very deep and restful.  I can't keep my eyes open about 45 mins. after taking one capsule.  I can sleep all night long (8-9 hours) on it and it's awesome.  It does reek like rotten dirty socks though, no shit. It's got quite the odor in the bottle, it's very curious.   

Glen will probably kick our asses for going off topic, unless King Buzzo 2 has a sleep disorder.................

holy shit youre right. at first i was like HUH? and now i remember. I tried to meet with him at the last melvins show here and he got in and i didn't but i was fully prepared to solve our situation.
