I know it was around there but not sure where.  You can see where Anton Lavey's "Black house" used to be (it's now condos), on California between 23rd & 24th.  Funny that you searched on Angelina's.  I used to go there every day.  Really good baked goods and coffee.  I can see my old apartment (corner of 21st & Lake).

Heh, weird coincidence.
The black house got changed not that long ago, I think.

It's been condos for a few years now (I think they were there before I moved), and was a vacant lot for a few years before that.  They tore the house down maybe 10 years ago.  Too many people kept trying to get in and look around (and take stuff, and set fires, etc...); even with the 10 foot chain-link fence they put up.

When the Melvins played 2 shows in Denmark in '95 I spent some time backstage with them (and they did the drawing I have in my avatar for me).

Anyway, Mackie and Lori S was there, and I talked a lot with them. I promised to send them a souvenir from Denmark because they didn't have time to do any shopping - but I never did. But Mackie gave me her and Buzz' address (and phone number) which at that time was Clinton Street; she wrote it on the back of a business card..... and I have lost it.
To be afraid when you are alone, in the dark, faced with the unknown, the unspeakable; that is understandable fear. To be afraid, mortally afraid, in broad daylight, in a crowded city street, that is to know Melvins.
