Well, there's really not much to report.  The show was pretty much what I have expected.  Totimoshi is a great fucking band, an excellent choice to open for the Melvins.  I spoke with Buzz after the show but I just said hi and thanked him for the show and the new album, etc.  Of the 9 times I've seen them this was the tamest show, tamest crowd.  It didn't even sell out!  I think that was a first for them at the Double Door.  I'm going to see them one more time at the Dope, Guns and Fucking Fest and then I think I'm DONE with Melvins until they change their line up.  I love Big Business but honestly nothing topped that 25th anniversary show when they had Trevor Dunn on bass.  And it wasn't because they played the shit out of Houdini, I just like them better as a 3 piece.  I just feel more power and brutality from the band that way.  Anyways, it was excellent show.  Highlights:

AMAZON
The Water Glass
Evil New War God (my new favorite song, the riff for the verses is classic Melvins)
The Lovely Butterfly
All of the Lysol stuff was great to see live, finally.

Not sold out!?!  That's craziness!  I agree with you about the 25th Anniversary show, hands down the best show I've ever seen at the Double Door.  And while I love Jerald and Coby, a de-jazzhonkZorn-programmed Dunn joining the Melvins more frequently would be pure BLISS!  I could listen to moo-bass all day!
You had your chance and you gargled it's balls!

I'm pretty upset about missing out.

Again,a gorgeous tragedy approaches,in the wake of those thought contained. But sonic reverberations shake the very marrow of the fragile chamber of mans lifeforce, and again the minions quiver in fear,as daylight fails to come, and Melvins walk the battlefield, bored and hungry...
