Ahhh. I was confused by how you were wording it. That had to have been an awesome juxtaposition to see. Watching Dale and Coady in unison has been the ultimate highlight of this line-up.  Sorry I had to miss it

hey Paul, nice review and seeing you last night.  It sure was a hell of a night, great fucking show.  You mentioned the first time the you saw the melvins and they opened with MANKY, I'm guessing that was the rave bar on the 2 x 2 year, I do remember that show, that was right after the Trilogy came out.  I was pretty happy with how they sounded @ Turner last night, Turner can be tricky for some bands, that's a windy old place, but it worked.  The highlights for me were the noisy ending (my sort of thing), YOA brought it up a notch for sure, MANKY, Lysol...  the new EP was great to hear as well. 
Favorite show?  probably not.  I have to side with a smaller venue - shank hall? high noon? rave bar?  small stage, pushed up front, jammed in, just me.... those days for the melvins are long over, but still only get better.  (a few pics to follow)
