That is the most acurate and well written review I've read lately. People from Ohio are smart.

thanks Buzz, Dale & Trevor for another great show!

if anyone from here is going to MORGANTOWN, the last [a] senile animal letterpress should be there.
ask brian for a look at the f*ck up freak puke cds.
it will be in there, with the [animal] cd.
it looked like it went through the press a few times & a scratch on the cover.
also it has red ink on the octopus.
when i spoke to Buzz after the show he confirmed it is the last one $30.
i passed & got freak puke lp.

as far as merch goes:

1983 lps
1983 cd budles
hammerhead splits [all]
sugar daddy splits [i think cows / DK]
freak lps
t-shirts [2-3]
freak f*ck up letter presssed cds [wrong cover/stamped freak]
lotsa posters & Brian art
and a FEW legit letterpredded freaks & the 2Xcd [singles]

stuff went fast, and prices went from $20 for a shirt--$40 for freak lp
FIRST, they rocked & have a good time.
SECOND, good luck on finding something cool for your collections!

**sugar daddy splits [i think cows / DK]**

correction / COWS & BUTTHOLE, sorry i am tired.

redcarpetsuitman

One was definitely Butthole Surfers, but I think the other was with Necros and Negative Approach.

I actually live in Zanesville, which is 2 1/2 hours south of Cleveland. But, if you wanna make that drive, you can ride the rest of the way to Morgantown with me and my cousin.

redcarpetsuitman

I would, but I am seriously strapped for cash after hitting the merch table last night.

mothra665

same here, and i have 1, and that is enough...have another RRRawwwuckkinnn night!

Chief Ten Beers

Good set, nice stage raps from Buzz. Had a blast, but come on, anyone notice how much the sound sucked? Saw Melvins there in '04 and '10 and I don't remember it being that bad.
Anyone standing on Buzz's side had to notice. The speaker above him was clipping bad when his volume increased(bothvox & guitar), and the mix was uneven, but cleared up a little mid-set. It was happening during Tweak Bird too, and after the 30 min between sets, you'd think they'd have fixed it, but nope. Please tell me that wasn't the band's own soundman behind the board, because he didn't have a fucking clue what he was doing. The techs looked kind of lost too before they went on working w/ the soundboard guy.

Bought the bat shirt, 5-pk '83 CD, and Brian's new book. Am looking to sell the other four CDs here(see whine thread).

I hope the sound doesn't suck so much for Saint Vitus this weekend.

mothra665

i would like the 4.

No Shevil at the end?  No Hooch?

redcarpetsuitman

They ended with Shevil, and Hooch was somewhere toward the middle.
It was the same set as every other 51/51 show, except that Trevor's solo was slightly different at the two shows that I saw.
Also, during Let Me Roll It, at the Cleveland show, Trevor laid his bass down and did push ups between the "Dunn Dunn's".
