Melvins in South Africa (hypothetical)

Have Melvins ever been approached to play in South Africa? Is it something they would consider if the price was right? The country must have a thriving rock/metal scene and Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town (and maybe Bloemfontein) must be large enough for some decent sized gigs.

Any of the oldies here remember any South African Boardies?
