Ok, this is kind of a weird post, but I would appreciate some help here:

I was listening to my pop-o-pies CD and was really enjoying "fascists eat donuts." When the melvins played that song live, it was an awesome "final song of the show" type thing with Dale pretending to drum on his own head and then running around the stage.

I wanted to hear the Melvins studio version that I (thought) I loved, but then saw it is not on 'sausages' or 'a tribute to pop o pies.'

Did the melvins record a studio (or even live) version of "fascists eat donuts," or is my brain creating a false memory that there is a melvins recording of that song? I looked on discogs and it was nowhere to be seen!

))))((((

No your memory is correct they did record it and play it live!! It was retitled 'Stick' Em Up Bitch'. It's the last track on their album Tres Cabrones.

also, when this was the closer during the Pinkus years, JD would end the set with live delay pedal manipulation of his vocals during Dale's routine. real Gibby Haynes type stuff!
