Strange, browsing through this  three year old thread actually made me tracking down 'Pretties For You', before I stumbled upon this post a minute after that.

Yeah ... ya need different "choices" ... like DK Fan & Melvins Fan ... albums' ok; or whatever. Just saw fan of either or ... not both ... 'cause yeah as a punk kid in the 80's DK was kinda everywhere ya know? I dig 'em ... I can see how Jello's voice & shtick could be annoying though ... but musically & lyrically they were definatly more adventurous than most hardcore (check out the Feederz if ya dig DK) ... & Jello's collab's since have all been pretty decent ... that being said since 'bout the same era I've been a huge Melvins fan too ... so had it been Jello w/ someone else I wouldn't have rushed to get it ya know? But since it was w/ Melvins I did ... its' ok ... But yeah "Halo" is uhhh? I don't dig the vocals ... I've been a fan of the Alice Cooper Band even longer than DK or Melvins ... My folks practically raised me on "Love it to Death" & "Killers" ... I've heard those recs. since I can remember ... it was pretty special when found Melvins my fave band yrs. later also had a soft spot for the Coop ... but yeah, they shoulda cut it w/ Buzz on vox ... as for the rest of it (& Never Breath too) its pretty decent but alot more "straight ahead punk" than I expected ... I was expecting something more outthere & noisy like Jello's Tumor Circus project (easily the best stuff since DK ... in some ways better). Another thing Jello's solo collabs seemingly always end w/ a super long tortorously drudgey tune ... ummm sound like anyone we know? But neither Jelvins album did ... kinda bumbed me out ...

if they cut some of the weak songs on on Never Breath and Sieg Howdy i think they could have one pretty decent record.
