Seems that this thread has gone from its original topic to more of a general shirt thread.

I've had this shirt so long that I don't remember which show I bought it at. Either that or I went to so many shows back in the eighties when they were still a local band that it's all a blur.

Ozma era for sure. Only seen one other picture of the back design on this shirt on the front of another shirt.

Anyone know if this was a "tour" shirt or just something they printed up to hawk at the local shows?

Anyone still have any older cinderblock Merch tees (like 06/07)?  Their tees imo had some of the best necks On a tee maybe ever- nowadays I think the Gildan brand t's have the best necks in the game
i got the 20th anniversary shirt with the dog pooping. still have it. not sure if i remember it being extra comfortable or anything.

Scenario: 55 year old with a miscellaneous collection of Melvins items collecting dust in his house.

Has NO idea what the market value of said items are so decides to research the items so as not to get scammed by a flipper.

Internet provides some clues on a few things but researcher wants to contact THE collectors. The ones who will appreciate said
               items

Decides to go to THE source, MELVINS.net to ask around the die hard fans about said items.

                                               and, scene...

So here I am. So what if I want to sell my collection of shit? I've had it for decades and it just sits in a box in my closet. The flyers are stacked in a folder and the vinyl never gets played. I just don't want to see it on eBay a week later, FFS. Just because you have never seen this design does not make it a bootleg. I bought it at a show here in Seattle or Tacoma and I don't remember when or which one. (Booze and weed will do that to your memory.)  If you don't want to help me out or get me in touch with someone who might know more about the history of this design then I'll just take my dust bunnies elsewhere.

Thanks for the tip Vince. Maybe the FB crowd is more helpful or keen to cherry picking a private collection.

Also check out the back of Dumpster D's GPT shirt. Same graphic.

probably the best bang for your buck AND knowing it will go to a good home can all be found here..

or you can go with my plan which is to have my kids sell it all at a garage sale for 25 to 50 cents each after I'm dead and buried.

i'd go with Glen's advice or eBay. the fb shirt sharks are some of the most villainous motherfuckers on the planet since the Barbary Pirates.

:P never know

Trying a few local connections to see if I can find who did the printing back then. Jeff Ross, who did a lot of sup pop/nirvana stuff said to check with Jim Sorenson who I am waiting to hear back from.

AMBloch

Jim didn't print them but I'll keep asking around.

I was able to confirm from two people that this was sold at their shows in Seattle in 1989. I bought it either at the Central Tavern on July 22nd or more like the Hollywood Underground on July 24th.

(I wasn't 21 yet and getting into the Central wasn't as easy as other clubs)

You might have to ask Tom Flynn.
