Eye in Triangle

Officially, I think it's Melvins, but unofficially, I think they love to be called Nirvana 2.

This is what his Wikipedia entry says:

Buzz Osborne is also a founding member/guitarist for both Fant

For me its...

Melvins

i refer to them as 'the Melvins'

the record before Nude with Boots i title as (A) Senile Animal yet i do not consider (The) Melvins to be the band that recorded it. Get me?

Also it's good to see that im not the only music fan who is really pointlessly obsessed over tiny details like this. It's like when Sonic Youth called themselves The Sonic Youth on 'EVOL' or The Dillinger Escape Plan's records where the band are always titled as such yet on the most recent release they cut out the 'The' from the band name.  :x That kind of inconsistant thing pisses me off  :x :x :x :P :x

Boris does it best because you know what  you're going to get.

BORIS = Loud album
boris = Quieter Album

You forgot B0r1s = stupid new live album.

And who could forget...

Misfits or The Misfits or Misfits (With Trademark symbol)?

Salty Green

i could see buzz finding fans' frustration with the band name semantics quite amusing

The correct answer is C)
Everything was beautiful, and nothing hurt.

Have you seen the bridge?  I ain't seen the bridge!  Where's that confounded bridge?!

Two totally different bands. Like "The Who" and "The Guess Who" or "The Verve" and "The Verve Pipe" or even more confusing, "Nirvana" and "Nirvana".

The Melvins recorded such classics as "The Maggot" and "Gluey Porch Treatments" while Melvins recorded their own classics like "Stoner Witch" and "Ozma". It's easy to see how two bands with the word "Melvins" in their title could get mixed up.

What about Electric Wizard, or The Electric Wizard?

And, if you really want to get confused look at the great American rock and rollers John Cougar, John Cougar Melloncamp and finally, John Melloncamp.
