What happened with Squarepusher?
I got the album on the way back home and it is poo.

Do you like previous Squarepusher albums or not?

Also, my ATP review is up in full on arguewithsilence.blogspot.com if anyone fancies a read.

I only have 'Go Plastic' which I like a lot but the new one was just a bit disappointing compared to the live show. It'll probably grow on me. Nice review!

If these things are for getting exposed to stuff you'd usually steer clear of then Vocal Sampling are my find of the weekend. Their version of Hotel California had me giggling, with them not at them.

On a minus note ISIS were probably the worst of the weekend, I like them on record but live they're just dull unless you like synchronised swaying and fretboard-staring.

Everything else I saw I enjoyed but regret not seeing Porn due to tired/old/boring-ness. All in all a sucessful mission if only for my mate coining the phrase 'Snivlemites'.

And if you got the

I read through it quickly, well written review, cheers! A joint after a couple of beers has never done wonders to me actually! Also, Buzzo was not part of the Porn line up, and never has been either. And, -/- ended with Seein' Red, not Straight Edge, but still, details, details ;)

I could have sworn it was Straight Edge... oh well, I'll take your word for it. I was not sober. Also, I know Buzzo is not in Porn but I thought I'd read that he joined the melee at ATP. I guess not. I've just updated the whole thing with hyperlinks and corrections anyway.

Also here's a short but quite cool bit of video from backstage after the first night, with Mike Patton complimenting Os Mutantes on their fantastic show (apparently I can't do code yet):

Wow, damn you European bastards.

That's more awesome bands in one night than I've seen ever.

During one of the Butthole Surfers shows, Gibby said to the audience, right before they went into another song "I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees - now, who said that?", no one responded. Actually, I thought he just took a piss and used one of his own made up quotes or something. So when me and Lunica were watching Repo Man yesterday, and Bud (Harry Dean Stanton - fucking excellent actor) said that quote, Lun recognized it, and we both felt very smart for at least a minute.

Actually that quote is originally by Emiliano Zapata, the Mexican revolutionary.
