Spent most of high school with that album stuck in my cars cd player.

I still do. Does wonders to encourage a little bit of road rage!
you're better off putting cd's in cd players. :P

Ozma sounds better than Lysol and Bullhead.

Ozma is the one that needs remastering the most.  [-(

I wish they re-recorded one of them instead of Houdini. Houdini, really?

What would you do to it? The vocals and drums are loud and crisp, and the guitar tone is is fantastic. The bass sounds tinny, yeah, but would remastering change that? If it was just louder it would make the vocals and cymbals TOO loud, in my opinion.

I wouldn't touch any of these albums. I will, however, buy them the minute they're available.  :(

Ozma isn't half as loud as most of thier other albums. You can tweak the vocals, bass and cymbals individually because they are at different frequencies. There are a lot of things you can do with a recording that you couldn't do 20 years ago.

Houdini is awesome.

I like Houdini, just not as much as Ozma or Bullhead.

i bet they tack eggnog onto the new bullhead re-issue ala ozma/gpt

I found Eggnog, S/T and Bullhead in an actual CD shop the other day. It was weird.

Anyway, I just think that Ozma's perculiar sound works really well with the roll-less rock music on that particular CD. It sounds like a robot, if that makes sense.

Wasn't the entire Ozma album recorded live? ;)

I'd say no, unless someone shows me evidence! But then again, the more I learn about Melvins set lists during their career, the more I realize I don't know shit about all the cool stuff they've tortured and pleased their audiences with.

Anyway..... liner notes!

there is something of insane in Ozma's songwriting.i'm pretty sure they wouldn't be able to write stuff like that now.

MY GOD! I'm getting these immediate when/if/should they come out! I really hope for some liner notes, though. Buzz is a total nutjob on those, and some of his stories are priceless!

I have yet to hear Ozma, but Lysol and Bullhead are my favorites. If Bullhead's re-mastered sound is akin to how Spine of God was re-mastered, then it'll be LOUD AND AWESOME.
