Maybe I'm wrong but I dont see Buzz being down with some pot-laced dub heaviness.  I bet he hates it actually, lol.
i can almost assure you he does.

Why do you say so? What indication has there been? Because of the drugs involved? If that were the case, he would hate punk rock too.

Dude Im not going to sit here and isolate every Ministry fan. Yes I do think Ministry is overrated, and that is "my opinion". They have influenced a few musicians I'm sure (including my musical hero Patton), and I totally recognize that I'm just not into 'em. If your down with the Ministry happy listening. God I love America.

First off don't come around here being a fucking asshole. You can be cooler than what you were about it.I don't care what you listen to.I was just playing with ya over the whole thing if it moves you listen if not don't.God I hate america

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

I have a question...

Ministry Fiend, have YOU ever put out a dub album?  Now that sounds like a really great idea.  Not that I would have ANY interest in buying it, and I really like Dub Reggae.  But I do know that if you in fact have not put out a dub album, by your logic, that makes you a pussy.

Actually yes I have. Infact I've put out 4 of them and they sell reasonably well as far as independant release's go. If you DO really like Dub Reggae you'd love my albums. So the answer to your question is Ministry Fiend is a tuff cunt.....not a pussy.
Can you give us the titles & label that they are on so we can buy them?  Thanks .

And that some of us could avoid them?  Thanks.

(Sorry M.F., but you know it really was the logical response.)

Jah Wobble sure knew how to make a bass sound heavy. The bassline from 'Theme' is earthshakingly heavy.

Where's DubEMC when you need him?

bigjim

If they did I hope they would make it sound evil and opposite of gospel reggae

He still does my friend. Jah still releases numerous Dub albums. He's just released a Chinese type one with his wife who's Chinese....I haven't heard it though. One of his he did with Invaders Of The Heart a few years back called "Molam Dub" is pretty amazing. Then of course he's on numerous Bill Laswell Dub albums too.

Jah Wobbles Dub Reggae basslines are what made PIL so awesome imo. I've always wondered why 99% of Rock/Punk/Metal etc have a skinny bass sound drowned out in the backround when it is the phattest sounding instrument and makes heavy music sound that much heavier?

Lets see some links to those dub albums you mentioned Fiend. I bet there as shitty as the rest of the music you hype (including Ministry). Ya wee trumpet. Rocky Dennis out!

I am actually Lee Perry. I know you haven't heard the name before but most here will have as not only am I completely insane.......I'm a legendary Dub producer. 8)

As for a melvins dub album, I think Kevin's  bass style would be a good fit for that. On POTRE, I have always thought that ZZZBest and Safety Third had some dub magic going on.

You're right they do.......great echo of the drum and that freaky moaning sound in the backround.

Damage Manual were great although I never bothered with the 2nd album as it didn't have Jah Wobble. Anyone here pick it up????

If you like Dub albums you should definately pick up the album "Sly & Robbie Stripped To The Bone By Howie B". That is some devastating bass heavy alien space Dub. Truly unique and dark sound........ cheap as chips on Amazon too.

Oh don't fret. I was expecting nothing less 8)

Sadly It was a white lie and I haven't yet released my devastating debut Dub. When I do though this Melvins board will be the first to hear my amazing vision of what sound can be.

Melvins would DEFINTELY make their Dub an evil sound.

Although they'd have to go pretty hard to beat the evil sounding Dubs Justin Broadrick has created on his Ice/Techno Animal & Godflesh releases.
