they aren't too bad man
really like that pic of trevor- reminds me just how close we were at the first show!  8)

fuck these fires up here suck! raining here atm, so hopefully that will help the cfa keep them away from me.
had all my cd's ready to take off this afternoon cos the fires in kilmore and the yea area are way too close for my liking and were heading NE towards me and both are only @40-50km's or something away and fires move so fast.
this is the third bushfire i've been not far from after being up in sassafras during the dandenongs fires, and then near the mt. beauty fires as well a few years back- plus i was in a housefire that i only just got out of.
...at least it's not 46C like yesterday and we have power today though!

Glad to hear your still safe, we (gf and I) were both hoping you were OK. Thankfully Saturday was not near us, although I stayed at my parents to escape the heat, and there were a couple of fires nearby (Cranbourne and Narre Warren Nth I think). There was quite a dust storm, then minutes later it was full of smoke too.

And remember there's always a safe place for your CDs at my house if you need it

Hope anyone else in the area on this forum is allright too

The Fool

yep, i'm still safe from fires but still ready to go if i have to since there's at least two that could still cause hassles for me, but none are heading this way atm.

can barely see anything from all the smoke, but that's better than flames or embers!

Odd. You're not starting them by any chance, are you?

The fire a pretty fucking bad. I have quite a few students who have lost their houses around the kinglake area.

Damn, that's fucked! :(

I hope you are all safe, guys.

The Fool

Sorry to hear some your students have lost their houses mop  :(

Unfortunately, the Kinglake/Kilmore fire could still be a problem for me near Seymour (I'm actually in Avenel a bit further north of Seymour). Just saw the update on the CFA site and it has an alert for Kerrisdale to Seymour now, so I'm just hoping the CFA get it under control tonight/tomorrow but the 50km/h southerly winds can't be helping.

...The Yea/Murrindindi fire could also head this way, depending on the winds direction tomorrow.
I have boxes ready to go if either get too much closer, but there's only so much you can take with you no matter how 'prepared' you are.

I hope the wind will be advantageous for you, or for anyone for that matter.

Yeah it is pretty sad. The good thing is that it's really pulled all the staff at work together to help these families.
