cara

at least you get to see Green River as well.

As someone who's only seen the Melvins/Big Business lineup with a setlist consisting 95% of songs from NWB and (A)SA I can't fucking wait to hear this show. Its going to rule.

Uncle Fester

Im not a green river fan... and I love houdini dont get me wrong... it will be cool to hear Hag Me live.

aw fucking lame.
What's lame?
nothing I guess... I just would have preferred a setlist that isnt melvins 1983 and houdini in its entirety.
that's the entire tour though.
they already had a tour like that.
They haven't had a tour like this.  They played some dates here n there.  This isn't a regular tour.  With BB out supporting their new record, Buzz and Dale have to do something else.  So in their own recognition of 25 years, they bring back their old drummer for some mostly east and west coast shows and play all of Houdini.  I'm sure all will return to normal next year.

Uncle Fester

so is mike dillard going to drum for the houdini part as well?

No....he'll just be doing the Melvins 83 stuff.  Only a 20-25 minute set.  Unless they decide to play more than 10 songs.

I got my ticket for the show on 5/22.  Will be flying in and out, not sure where I'm staying yet.

$25 ( x2) plus $8.50 each ticket plus tax plus some other nonsense equals $73.48 for two fucking tickets.  I know it's cliched, but fuck Ticketmaster and AGE or whatever they're called.

Dead Cowboy

See you guys there. Wanna grab a sammich and a quickie before hanz?

I know, I got mine today and thought the exact same thing.  I don't think I've ever paid that much to see the Melvins.  Worth every penny, but when you know it's all just going to Ticketmaster and not even the club, let alone the band, it kind of stings.  At least BB on Sunday night will be a tad less expensive and probably ever bit as good.  Can't wait to see Toshi make some noise again.  Hope the new record's as noisy as he is live.

Still wondering about the timeing of the BB and Melvins NW dates.

I just got my tickets for the Portland show through tickets west and it cost me $57.50 for two tickets which are $20 a piece.
Not as bad as ticketmaster and I suppose I am the one deciding to use the online retailer instead of heading to the venue to pick them up but it always feels like a rip off anyway.

F Ticketmaster.  I'm going to the Showbox on Monday at lunch and getting them at the box office.
