dale uses regal q1000 with a nylon bead/tip. i snagged one from the stage after a show in summer '96. i thought it looked like a broomstick handle. it was impressively chewed up from cymbal strikes. the stick is built around a metal rod (i think).  i believe they are marching band drumsticks
