Call Danny Carey and make an EP.

why I oughta....

danny carey doesn't have the beef to play with dale/coady.  he's all tech, neil perty.   he's not versed in the ways of the HEAVY.  at least make it someone who can WAIL.
You don't like Tool. We get it. Listen to Divorce. What's there not to like? Danny Carey is fully versed in the ways of the heavy. So he's not as heavy as Dale? Who is? Dale isn't as technical as Danny? What's the big deal? Dale and Danny are too completely different drummers. I don't find one to be better than the other. Do I prefer Dale over Danny? Sure. I don't know but to me Divorced is solid empirical evidence that not only can both play together awfully well, but they complement each other in a way that Coady and Dale do not. I'm not claiming one drummer is better than the other or anything like that but to suggest that Danny Carey can't keep up with Dale on account of his "lack of heavyness" is like saying Dale can't keep up with Danny because he's not nearly as technical (... or a different kind of technical). it don't make no sense.

Also, even though I'm a canuck, I will ignore the little jab towards the Canadian hero that is Neil Peart.

oh and, I still can't believe how many people are bitching and whining about big melvins. Are you fucking kidding me? Seems like it was not too long ago that we all had a collective raging boner when we first heard the melvins would usurp the biz. STFU and let Buzz & co. do the driving.

have you seen the melvins as a trio?
theres a difference that is as clear as day, manwith.

What if the Melvins grew a third penis, and this penis grew hands, and started playing drums?  What would you do now?  Could you handle the rock then?  I don't think so.

So you're saying two members (no pun intended) of the current lineup don't have penises?

I had no idea.
Can you all shut your damn cocks for one second? Music is the only thing that's real in this queef world of dildo ass chodes.

this thread leads me to this....i have seen the Melvins 20+ times.... the best show bar none i have ever seen of anyband was the Melvins in Wilmington, NC 2000. Kevin got in a fight. i got some great pics, and the setlist was stupid. I wanna try and remember that this was the 2x4 tour. Two sets. In a small club that was days away from closing. and i must admit that with that lineup (kev and DSS) was the best Melvins show i have ever witnessedl....
that is it. i have a new menu to prep for.
INDEED

I mean all this in the nicest possible way of course"

Say what you will about ASA and NWB, the new line up is the most powerful live version of the Melvins to date.IMO.
I've still never seen a live lineup as good as when Kevin was still around

That was the G&L SB-2 that I'm guessing had its pickups and hardware harvested for the Shove-It bass.  Always knew that those were G&L pickups, but I'd never seen Kevin play a G&L.  That must have been just before the Shove It bass (and its orange twin, that lacks the inlay) was built.

I'd rather they add a keyboard player like Mark Mothersbaugh,
Rick Wakeman, Bernie Worrell or even Gary Numan

1979-1983 Gary Numan  would be interseting.
He has definitely jumped the whale.

What if Dale and Buzz were looking for a bassist?

What if the Melvins played 3 encore/s?
