about that mike patton/melvins empire thing...maybe this isn't too far from the truth.  what with melvins NIKES coming out now...?  i think they are attempting to break into the mainstream pop culture and mike wants to be there for it.  something strange is happening.  we all know they'd take it if they can get it.  they aren't afraid of the $moolah$

hahahah yes.

Leroy

Did anyone notice how sloppy he was playing in that live song they did for the elks radio broadcast in '83 on The Mangled Demos cd?  Buzz knew what he was talking about when he said "he's not even in Mudhoney anymore"!

Dog Tired

He was probably only playing bass at that time for like 4 - 5 years.

People do get better at bass.  Plus that was one of their first shows.

cellphone

pretty harsh to expect an 18 year old kid with no formal training to play perfectly.

lord of heaviness

during the middle section it sounded like he got lost or didnt know what to play.
What do you think you're looking at, sugar tits?

Vinney,

I noticed you have never showed interest in any bands on my label or my band.  What's up with that?

Vcavallo

heh.  it's funny you'd say that.

i've never heard your band, or any bands on your label.  should i?
i'll check your band out and report back.  i'm sure it's great, but in case i don't think so, how much honesty do you prefer?  50% 20% 100%??

Go to: www.hourearth.com/shop.htm and listen to Grandma's Vomit, then report back with 100% honesty

Check out some early Mudhoney live recordings. All Matt does is making pure raw noise with his bass guitar, no melodies at all. It still sounds pretty cool though.
