Melvins not in "GRUNGE" book?

I saw the new Thurston Moore book "Grunge" at a record store last night. I decided to flip through it to see what bands were mentioned in there - and the Melvins were conspicuously absent.... but the Butthole Surfers were mentioned.

Now, I know Melvins aren't really "grunge" or whatever, but shouldn't they figure into the book as at least a footnote when Nirvana is plastered all over it?

What's up with that? Did I miss it or is is Thurston getting senile?

Have you ever wondered why Dale and Buzz have stuck together for over 25 years in a band, when most marriages on average end after eight years (in the u.s.)?   They must be super-friends.   They should discuss that on Oprah, instead of Fox News.

ALL the "Grunge" bands were friggin sissy douchebags, as were their fans.

SO OF COURSE Melvins aren't in a friggin "Grunge" book................Melvins don't make sissy music.........although most of their fans are sissy douchebags.

Moore is a dipstick.  Melvins should have at least been mentioned, and the Butthole Surfers are nowhere near "grunge".

Well Fester..................it seems numerous folk here believe that because all the Grunge bands were totally gay for the Melvins that the Melvins should've been name-checked in the Grunge book.
