Isn't Comm 23 the Melvins/Nirvana split?
It is.
Don't tell me they were thrown in with the Dope, Guns etc. LP???

Oh, I see. No, Dope Guns arrived seperately. They should be thrown in with other records, though. They've been pointlessly too expensive for too long. Luckily I got these cheaper than usual.

I've got one of the blue marbled versions.  One of my most prized  seven inches.

Have you already tried mds@mushroom.com? Maybe they have 25 year old promo material!  :D
Mmmmmm, no I haven't. I'll let you know how that goes!  :D

After buying a house last year I've calmed way down on random/impulse vinyl purchases and I barely look at eBay anymore. Yesterday I was flipping through and made beer fueled bid.  Ended up getting Bride Of Crankenstein (red/grey w/ glow in the dark sleeve edition of 200) for a decent price.  Felt good.  May have to start being impulsive more often again

So somewhere back in this thread, there's a story of me scoring a Deep Six vinyl in as close to perfect condition you can probably get for a very decent price off the bassist from my favorite local punk band when I was growing up.  Last week there was a listing for the trilogy vinyl in "barely opened" condition, meaning some of the shrink wrap has been opened but the vinyl has never been removed from the sleeves.  It's almost the last of my real holy grail items and recently I just told myself that if I find it in near perfect condition to just buy it, no matter the price.  As I reviewed the listing I quickly realized it was the people who ran the best local record store in Salem, Oregon for almost 40 years.  I only lived there the last two years of their existence but apparently made enough of an impression because the wife freaked out when I messaged her to tell them how much I missed their store and them and told her I'll pay the stupid price because I know it's a tiny contribution to their retirement.  She said they were going to throw in some fun extras and when I just checked the tracking it should be here by Tuesday.

Nice one. What's left on your holy grail list now?

GiveMe45

Holy grail would probably be an original 6 Songs and some of the old 7" releases.  Oh, and the 8" flexi from Slap-a-ham.

The extra they threw in was one of the HAT 7"s that I actually didn't already have so that was nice.
