Mad Arab

I'm talking about with this line-up, cracker. What I meant by that is that they ought to branch out into more adventurous territory.

Hopefully they will seeing as they made the same album twice in a row.

I'm hoping for something heavy, possibly noisy, and new from the melvins.

and I hope the sun comes up tomorrow and my taxes come due by the 15th of april.

Senile Animal and Nude With Boots are not the same. You need your ears checked.

There was a little overlap in the whole "Anthemic Vocals" area, but really. two whole different vibes and approaches on those albums. Chickenswitch, however: total Houdini clone.

Anyway, the Melvins would make a really excellent country album. They've already hinted at it several times what with Lizzy, Cotton Mouth, The Crybaby covers, Dr. Geek.

My ACTUAL prediction is something weird and mellow.

The purchase of a new Melvins-album is always special, I hope and believe that it will be different in style vs the two latest.

in all actuality i suspect the strong possibility of a countryish album as well.

I agree that all Melvins albums are great (with the exception of Chickenswitch, but that was only barely a Melvins album), but I'm ready for something substantially different than ASA and NWB.  Here's hoping for either something mellower ala Honky/Bootlicker, or something heavier and noisier ala HAT/POTRE.  I'd go for country too.  Buzz is a huge fan of The Lucky Stars and got them hooked up with Ipecac for Hollywood & Western, which is a great album.  Collaboration?

i wasn't trying to say i'd be excited about a (hypothetically) country album.

Although Ween certainly surprised me with theirs. I have to admit that it's pretty awesome.
