Back early since I didn't stay for Isis...show was amazing, as always, but I have to admit I was a tiny bit bummed that Isis was the headliner. The shorter setlist is still amazing, but was shitty to not get to hear everything they rehearsed for this tour...especially Bacon Industry.

Still, the band was as tight as I've ever seen them...AMAZON and Hung Bunny/RBD were the highlights...but they def. shortened Hung Bunny so the set would fit the schedule...which was about 75 mins.

Tshirts were same except they are only down to M on the octopus. Still have box sets. No poster which was odd since we saw the image for these 2 NY shows. I normally would go both nights, but I'm skipping tomorrow. Isis has been great the times I've seen them, but I'm not paying to see a short set 2 nights in a row.

I can't really complain, but I do feel like it should have been made clear Isis was going to headline. I didn't know until I saw the marquee...

I got there early, I think the girl you saw (totimoshi's bassist) wasn't at the table until halfway through Melvins set. I passed on the box, but now I wish I hadn't. They are probably setting some aside for each show...

I didn't go to the show (it's 5 hrs away), so my friend was rubbing it in by sending me pics on his cellphone

I saw the box on the table maybe 5 mins after they let people upstairs. I didn't even ask about it because I knew I wasn't going to throw down. Maybe they only had a few?

What a Great show though.
Im going to try and remember the set list, forget about the order....
There were so many people smoking the ISH i am lucky i remember....
Dont get me wrong, i smoked at concerts too, but now since i dont smoke weed anymore, it was quite annoying, but whatever a person needs to enjoy a show is there own business.
Anyways......
Totimoshi was opening when i got there at 715, melvins went on at around 745, finished at around 910.

Civilized Worm
The Water Glass
Evil New War God
Pig House
ANACONDA! (AN amazing, epic 4-5 minute version!!!!)
Hung Bunny
Roman Dog Bird

Buzz busted a string on Roman Dog Bird! Chrome Gibson as usual! It looks like he was really concentrating and playing carefully sans the busted string! Sounded a bit off with out the string, but hes a professional, so he made it work.

i know im forgetting a few, someone else help me.

Was it all ages or something? Seems like a really early show.

Webster Hall is weird, they have a noise curfew or something. Shows over by midnight.
I think it was mentioned in another thread last time they played there.

nah 21 to get in...i went with my brother...we were already on the turnpike and i said to myself, i think i remember reading something on the website about checking id's at the door, of course he didnt bring his, we had to turn around. an hour and a half wait at the holland tunnel!!!! some A$$hole brokedown INSIDE the holland tunnel on a GOD DAMN motorcycle!!!!
thank god we went back for the ID, cus they check them at the door, they also serve liquor. I bought two $8 heinekens!!
SO i missed the box set probably because of the ID bullish and the holland tunnel A-hole, but oh well! I am a vinyl hound and just wanted the box set for nostalgia! And since they checked id, if we didnt turn around, i would have went alone. It was nice to be with him, i got a belt buckle for myself, $10.

bastard.

Oh man I LOVE that poster. Had I stopped by the merch desk I would've had to buy it.

I have to say, Webster Hall's sound was extra shit tonight. I have to avoid going back to that place.

Aaron Turner said that there was a dance party scheduled afterwards.

Best show thus far with the Big Business line up. Awesome set.

I was happy that they went on before Isis, as I can't stand Isis. I left right after the Melvins stopped. I wondered if they didn't continue after Roman Bird Dog because of Buzz's broken string. It was weird because it looked like it was still attached at both ends, but had a ton of slack. The song still sounded great.

The biggest thing I noticed (outside how awesome the band was) was that this seemed to be a new(er) Melvins crowd. Everybody was going nuts for most of the songs from the BB/Melvins era, but when they busted out a fucking killer rendition of Anaconda, the place was kind of standing still. It seemed strange. Same for Amazon, the Lovely Butterfly intro thing, Black Stooges and Hung Bunny/Roman Bird Dog, etc. Yet people were going nuts over the ASA and NWB stuff, like crazy. I don't know. Don't really care either, I just thought it was strange to see.

I really wanted to see Bacon Industry, but I'm not complaining. 10 out of 10, they knocked it out of the park.

Windshield, not sure where you were but from where I was the sound was great. Never heard a bad show in that venue.
