yeah, I like it a lot...

I would like to know if there are any liner notes
showing when the songs were played/recorded of
if this was from one show (doesn't sound like it though).

I downloaded it from emusic and the only thing I get are the
mp3 files and cover art. Is there anything else, info wise?
The one and only....

Why did they cut out Honey Bucket?  Was it played too sloppily during the show or something?  Or maybe it wasn't even played that night?  I dunno

Anyways, I'll still buy this live disc, and it's good to finally have a new crisp-sounding recording.

I just bought this from the local FYE for $13.77 out the door.not a bad price. Thats the first time I bought music from a retail outlet in at least 10 years. You're welcome. :)

PS: so far it sounds tight. Like a tiger.

It wouldn't be crazy if this cd outsold bride.
Its currently the number ONE seller on amazon, in  MUSIC > Alternative > Hardcore Punk
http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/music/5196/ref=pd_zg_hrsr_m_1_3_last

And its #35 in Alternative right after Nevermind and Foo fighters greatest hits LOL.

Sadly though, with cd sales so low, were probably only talking a couple hundred cd's here.

Asking why they cut song was a question I had for the live chat, but of course someone asked what their political views are because none of us knew.   ](*,)

(((O)))

Got it today and had another listen through. Funny how the end drum outro of Dog Island is actually tracked as the start of song 3 since it blends into the opening of Dies Iraea. Strange too that the album booklet features photos of the band performing at the totally unrelated January Residency gigs too! Anyway a couple of questions tho! Who is it that says "get out of my personal space" towards the end of Boris? Jared perhaps??? Plus dont know if any of you have noticed this but the album doesn't seem to flow correctly between the songs even though one song was probably played right after the previous one in the set. To my ears, i notice a brief little pause or jump to the next song between each track as though it was mixed seperately or was compiled and edited from various shows rather than one seamless gig.

Not really. The liner notes are as follows:

Melvins are Dale Crover, Coady Willis, Mr. Warren, King Buzzo

Recorded by Toshi Kasai at the "Busta-Guts Club" in Downey, Ca
Mastered by John Golden

Thank you so very much for the fantastic live photos
To Jane Adams & Ben Clark

Package design & illustrations by Mackie Osborne

In addition to that there's a pic of a donkey with a speech bubble saying "If stupidity got us into this mess, then why can't it get us out?" and on another page a rabbit looking up to a cat saying "just shut up".

Buying my copy today, that is if my crappy local record store even has it.  Does it say where each track was recorded?  Is it one show or tracks from multiple cities?

thanks for the info...

the pauses/skips between songs are what led me to beleive this
was not all recorded in one place...

still sounds great.

I love Melvins.

There is no Busta Guts club.  I think you're right, it probably was recorded in different places.
I am a raper guy, obviously.

Picked this up today... great live mix, loving each drummer in opposite ears. The only bitch I have is that CDs can't reproduce the sheer volume of the live set... but that is strictly a technology issue, nothing to do with the band. Overall, very satisfied for the $12.99 at FYE. Oddly, it makes me want to crank COD directly after listening to it, maybe to make up for the volume/mass issue stated above. Anyone else get that urge? Can't wait for the next studio album
