Personally I doubt it. I see the next/last record being similar to NWB. Somewhat disposable based on Buzz's recent
interviews. You can tell that he is thoroughly jaded, so why would he exert any effort to capture grand ideas on their
last record for Ipecac when he knows it will be leaked in seconds after release.

That really is too bad. Personally I love TBSM and thought it was a step in the right direction towards more weirdness/intensity than the other two releases with BB. I never have fully understood why they don't just sign with AmRep and continue to release weird/experimental shit along the lines of Prick and Honky. I am very ignorant when it comes to the AmRep label so can someone help me out? Does Haze only release stuff on vinyl? It seems to me that once they are done recording for Ipecac that going back to AmRep would be a logical step for them. From what I can tell, Haze obviously is a huge fan of the band so it would make sense to me. But then again as anaconda mentioned, if the album is just going to get leaked on the internet, what is the point? This may be a stupid question, but is it possible for a band to record a cd and come up with some kind of "security lock" or some shit where the cd cannot be leaked?
Some of your questions can be answered simply by having a look at the AmRep site.

I really hope I'm wrong and this next/last record for Ipecac is a barn burner.
For the record I love ASA, and TBSM, NWB had its moments like Dog Island
and Smiling Cobra, etc.

black stallion

so is it official that the next  is going to be the last record?and what you mean for last?

Calm down everyone. There'll be lots more.

anaconda

Of course there will! but Buzz said in the recent interview that if theyre lucky
they have one more record for Ipecac because of leaks and downloading but
thats probably it, but theyll continue doing their own limited releases and collector
type stuff because they can control it

You're right...it is.
Initial intuition is nearly always correct.  Listen to your inner voice.

Do you have the link for this interview? Interested in reading.

Is he blaming Ipecac or something? It doesn't matter how you release your stuff, it's going to get leaked.

Melvy

Awesome, thanks a lot.

danimal

I think that Buzz is implying that Ipecac won't last more than another couple years due to low record sales.

anaconda

I understand that, but I believe he's also implying that when they do
another record it will be their last one for Ipecac

Justafilthylurker

I just want to point out that noise rock is not experimental any more. I think after 30 years, the results are probably in by this point.

??? Since everything leaks (Ipecac, AmRep, box sets, singles, etc.) why would he consider a particular label when capturing grand ideas? You could even argue that Ipecac gets them more exposure regardless of the state of the record industry. Are you saying that their post-Ipecac projects will earn them more money because they're made in-house, and that's why he would save his grand ideas for them? I'm just trying to figure out where you're coming from.

anaconda

Yes, that's what I was getting at.
