Melvins: a fast track to good musical taste

Just read this comment over at The Obelisk forum as regards Melvins. Very true in my mind.  

Every interview with Buzz is ace. I have as much respect for that guy as I do for Neil Young. My friend and I were joking recently that there are so many people where we work who are like "Oh, you like metal? I like metal too". And more times than not this leads you down a road of sudden disappointment when they start sending you links to bands like Nevermore and Dragonforce. So in an effort to avoid an experience like that, which is turning us into misanthropes (but more quickly), its best to size them up with one simple question. "Do you dig the Melvins?" If they say 'no', then we can sidestep the whole subject for the benefit of everyone involved.

Usually when I do the Melvins test it backfires cause tool fans are like yea I like melvins, I have Houdini, how do you feel about industrial?
