Cheers for the heads up. Sounds okay so far. Am sure it's a grower.

I love how everyone in the comments section is ready to skip the album before even hearing it.

I really need to quit reading these professional reviews.  They feel like a huge waste of time.

They're good for some insight but yes i agree best to make our own minds up and take these reviews with a pinch of salt.

i'd hardly call reviews by glorified bloggers professional. it's just typical internet hot air. we shall all make up our own minds. if it disappoints, c'est la vie.

I'm not reading any reviews from blogger dweebs, and haven't listened to a note of it online, samples/youtube. I like to hear it for the first time on CD w/ the home stereo system, cranked up. :D

that is the way to go! ^ 8)
I did the same with Bride in San Diego except it was a live show that baptized the release.

Metalhead Cow

I should just stop reading these reviews. They all suck. The guy even mentions violins repeatedly in that last review.

Just the fact that you rag on a band about a song and you don't know or include that it's a cover song says to me that his opinion means nothing.

Opinions are opinions and I'll make my own soon enough.  But if you're going to talk badly about something, at least have the facts.

"disposable dessert sessions track"
Oxymoron. Desert Sessions tracks by definition are disposable.
Can you all shut your damn cocks for one second? Music is the only thing that's real in this queef world of dildo ass chodes.

Ah, I was just trolling. Mostly.

Truth is, I've been listening to select Desert Sessions tracks quite a bit the last six months. It's hit or miss with them, really.  "I Wanna Make It Wit Chu" is better than the QOTSA version. This is probably my favorite:
