It certainly was cool to see little kids there. There were two right up front.

Damn dude - you need to see the Melvins in a proper smaller setting! That place was a shitbox. But to each their own! One thing that I have learned is that everyone has their own unique experience and takeaway from a show.

And - even the worst Melvins show of my life (Houston) was better than the best Nirvana show of my life!

unfortunately that is that seems to big the place in town with that size room.  i wish there is better.  crowd was normal too.  only had to throw a few elbows.  there was this really tall guy that was pretty annoying and at one point just started sceaming at the top of his lungs...wtf?  i rarely go to shows there as i prefer bars, but those days are over for the melvins.    the kids were a trip.  what was funny is when the first fumes of the weed began to filter out, you could see the parents talking to the kids.  i blew some thier way a few times.

brentabousko - i should have im'd you and had a beer.  would have liked to met you and the other houston peeps.

i thought it was a good show over all.  i remember one of the shows there a few years back everyone stood around like zombies and did not move or clap.  i think the crowds are getting better.

shit one eye'd jacks is the best venue of that size I have ever been too.  once we saw a play about the birds (hitchcock) they took all the chairs away in about an hour and saw suplecs and the hazard county girls.

I know a girl from Houston and she has mentioned she refuses to see bands in town she always drives to Austin because the crowd is better

Ran into a few people at the Austin show who came from Houston for the same reason.
