The Nerve

So, I was reading the book "Love Rock Revolution: A Story about K Records" and it says about The Melvins 1st show that Buzz called up Calvin Johnson and pretty much asked him for a show. But they were called The Nerve at the time and Calvin did get them their 1st show at the Tropicana in Olympia which was the 2nd show the Tropicana had. I don't know if this is true or not. I have my doubts. I've been a fan for 15 years and never heard that they started out as the Nerve.

Then I saw this on dictionarydb.com/Melvins and thought I'd share

One of the best bands ever. They've been around for twenty years, and they're going stronger than many of the young upstarts fresh out of the gate. They're currently on Patton's Ipecac Records, the place for music. Quite plainly, they just rip sh*t.
