Buzz and Goatsnake?

Just got Goatsnake's 'Dog Days+1' compilation and noticed that Buzz is credited in the liner notes. From how it is wrote it is not too clear as to whether it's just a thank you, if he recorded some, or if he produced (or helped to produce) their debut record '1' in '98/'99. Is this true? It surprised me that i had never heard this titbit before. Anyone more clued up than i?

If I remember correctly he produced one song on the album. I cannot remember which one but it is the one that songs really fucked up compared to the others.

didn't he play bass in the melvins for some shows in early 90's?

he played with them for a time in 98 after mark d. left and i believe almost became a permanent member but left to form goatsnake.

I like Scream (the group) so it's great to hear the singer in a much more Sabbathy band, but there's no excuse in my book for ever covering Black Oak Arkansas. Ever.
