Met a Boardie, yeah! Nice to see you, ripz......post some photos!

Another fine evening, so different from Paris, though! The crowd were pretty quiet during Bullhead but there was incessant yammering all the way through Stoner Witch. One woman was told to shut up (by Dale or Jared) at one point, and during Queen, as someone jumped on stage, Dale siezed the moment perfectly and during the

She don't hang
She don't hang
She don't hang
She don't hannnnng

part of the song, brilliantly turned it in to

Get off the stage
Get off the stage
Get off the stage
Or we'll stop the shooooooooowwwww

:D

She got off the stage.

These Residencies are great as when you meet someone cool on the first night, you can hang out again with them on the second. Makes it more of an event. I hope they do it again in the future.

Other observations:  Beer was CHF 8  ($8.30)  a pint which is a great deterrent.

Just tremendous. Words cannot describe.

That's funny about Dale changing the "she don't hang" part into "get off the stage"  :)

next night i got out a bit earlier and headed to eat at rote fabrik. met jules as i was sitting down and had a beer and a bite to eat and talked about life, music and everything underlying it. melvins fans seem to be good people and have a lot in common. talked to lots of cool people at the show. was good to meet the milano crew and a bunch of zurich locals too. even found some folks from nearby me in the valais. jules and i went inside as door opened got beers and camped out in front of buzzo. i'm a guitarist and hudge buzzo fan from back in the day. i guess i saw them back in 92-93 opening for alice in chains dirt tour (mudhoney opened for them). i had never heard of them at the time and had to pick my jaw from the floor and hold it in place during the alice in chains set. these residency shows were like going back in time. so good.

bullhead first set. loved every second of it but anaconda killed it for me. pretty much an sonic OOB experience.

stoner witch second set. lividity was a great opener. skweetis began melting my face by this time. was a bit rude for the chick to jump on stage during queen but the boys worked it into the song with perfect timing and non-flinching. seems like coincidence and simulation theory were running in full mode tonight (tonight's heavy conversation topic).

i think i have a mancrush on coady. just such an intense drummer. like the young jedi apprentice under dale. the guy just goes all out 100%.

i have better shots but i love this one of buzzo
