Checking today, mine says it has been processed in chicago... meaning it is likely already on a plane.

I am ready for Melvins to do a tour just like this sounds.

Yes, it would be particularly fascinating to witness something like that. Something unique and special. I doubt it will ever happen though. The recorded work seems to exist in it's own orbit compared to the live show and new releases barely get acknowledged. I wish the band would reassess that - tour playing LOTS of new songs or specifically "presenting" a new record live.

I'd definitely see that tour!  I was probably one of the only people in the crowd who was totally stoked on their 10 to 15 minutes of noise at the end of their set when they opened for White Zombie in 1995

I'm kind of relying on memory here, but was that when David Scott Stone opened the night with a noise set? That was indeed, totally awesome. Add me to the list of folks who would do a double back flip to see Melvins perform a set of the TG material live. Studio or not, if anyone could pull it off, they could.

This new album is so good. So far 2023 has been a great year for Melvins releases! Bad Mood Rising, The Devil You Knew, and now Throbbing Jazz Gristle Funk Hits. Might be their best run of albums since the Atlantic era.

BMR was 2022 but yeah over an actual 12 months that's a few releases. I personally wouldn't say it's that great of a run though. The trilogy probably takes some beating!
