Man what a great show! It was awesome! Fantastic to see Buzzo up so close and personal. Like others have mentioned it was pretty funny to see his mum called up on stage and yet a very sweet move to include her on his 50th birthday of all days. That was a surprisingly personal, moment that i've not seen of Buzz before. Got to say, even though i've seen the same songs played on various videos on here you really can't substitute that sensation seeing it up close and live! To see Buzzo moving back and forth and getting into and losing himself in the songs that he was playing. Both surreal and visceral. You can't help but relate to that. Great atmosphere for such a intimate occasion. Got to say it was fun to meet all the gang from on here too. Cool people one and all and very much the icing on the cake of what was a utterly memorable event. So weird seeing a show of that magnitude and yet sincerity in such a setting. Managed to snag the 10" at the last minute too!! So glad i was able to witness such a one off show. Stripped back, paired away and straight to the essence of what is Melvins. Buzzo acoustic rules!

Wow Ian, you were there!? Lucky! That's awesome! Cool you got to see Buzz live. I remember at my first Melvins show it was a very surreal experience seeing him in person. That's so cool you got to go to the show. You make a good point about how different it is being there in person, as opposed to watching videos on youtube. You can watch the same songs performed online and get bored of them, but being there live is a greatly enhanced experience. Sometimes seeing a song live makes me realize I enjoy it quite more than I thought I really did. I always feel attending a Melvins show is an amazing experience. Now you have to see the full band live, man!

I owe BroHammer the most, I wouldn't have come out with his generosity.  It's always awesome to get to hang out with him.  So thank, buddy!
Bahh! It's always a pleasure buddy. I gotta admit I had to pull over and cry softly for a few minutes after dropping you off at the airport. Nah, really though I'm so glad you came out and you know I'll be bugging you the next time (every time) they come through.

Agreed. I love seeing performances there because of the intimacy and it seems Buzz is pretty comfortable at Grumpy's. It's great. I'm really glad my ass landed in Minneapolis.

I talked to Ian before the weekend and said to him that he should do something that the had never done before, challenge himself. Suddenly I get this sms "Off to Buzz' birthday party in the states, wish me luck!". I'm proud of you Ian!
