what makes me go out crazy is the fact they said the item should have been delivered between June 5-10. now i got a second email saying it has been postponed to July 16-31. FUCK YOU AMAZON
I've experienced this a few times before and i don't think that is Amazon's fault Stallion. The release date for the album is the 16th over here in the UK too. Probably what happened is the release got put back either by the record label for Europe or Amazon were waiting on stock to arrive. Most likely it was the date got put back a week or two. After all it's a big undertaking releasing a record internationally at the same time. When you pre-ordered (i assume) the CD they probably listed the original release date hence why they sent you the first email saying between 5th-10th but then it moved. Amazon are really just the middle men. They can't do anything until a record is actually allowed to be released or arrives at their warehouse. The only way you would have got the physical album quicker would have been to have ordered from an American supplier but it would have cost more to ship to you. That's why Buddy Holiday hasn't got his CD yet either the 16th is probably the release date in Europe. I bet by the end of this week you will both receive them.

The problem is Amazon, yet again, lying about the 'release date' of a CD until they know how many pre-orders they have.

Strange, I didn't know that. Well, I've never pre-ordered a thing in my life.

You've never booked a flight online? It's common practice among certain airlines to deliberately allow their flights to be overbooked in the hope that a) not everyone will show up, or b) if everyone shows up, someone will always accept getting a later flight. A full airplane will be more likely guaranteed then. This isn't a very good analogy but I don't care at the moment.

eehhmmm... jules, this may come as a shocking surprise to you, but I'm not a person who travels a lot... actually, the last time I boarded a plane was around May 2006. When I go to Santiago, I use the bus.

what jules said . there's no need to add that if i wouldn't have seen June 5-10 as delivery estimate, i wouldn't have ordered the album at the end of May

@stallion, my CD arrived just now

I already heard the album 50 times though (legally - Google Music). So I was prepared for the wait, don't mind paying for Melvins stuff twice.

I will, it's better than I thought. I was skeptical about it just being acoustic a few months ago - but listening to it just works so well.

I lived in North Wales for a short time so there are no shocking surprises left in life!

The U.S. version is bigger and built completely differently. The pissed off baby/skull & crossbones comes as a seperate print with the Japanese version.
