Albini and Buzz are both loudmouth assholes who make ridiculous statements in interviews, it's not suprising they don't get on.

i guess it would be a lot easier to see the Pope collaborating with Mayhem than Albini with Melvins

I envision a Ratzinger solo album sounding like early Laibach for some reason.

My old band recorded at Electrical Audio in 2007. We had a great time working with Albini and I found him to be a perfectly nice guy. He knows his craft and his studio is fucking amazing so I'm not surprised he invests most of his time and efforts there, rather than trying to make a living on Shellac alone.  That said, I have to air my admiration and respect for bands and artists like The Melvins who have managed to reach a level where they can actually live of their 'art' without yielding to outside influence or control.

I'm kinda gutted those 2 don't get on. I always thought an Electrical Audio version of Ozma would be the greatest thing ever committed to tape.

This interview is pure gold.

What do Clapton and black coffee have in common?
They’re both terrible without Cream.

No Clapton was not on that one.

Yes Steve Albini did record that Bush album, so whenever I hear him talk shit about, I don't know, Stone Temple Pilots or something, I think about that Bush album and how terrible that band was. Granted, I never listened to that album and I'm guessing the "engineering" sounds amazing on it, but there's only so much you can do with a turd.
Hail, not fail.
PS:  fuck him.

I remember reading somewhere that Gavin Rossdale was good friends with Duane Denison...makes me wonder if he also knows Albini fairly well.
