Anyone got any idea why Buzz (and whichever bassist at the time) always switch sides on stage? One of you Melvin freaks must know as it's something thats puzzled me for years.  :?

I'm sure its not a complicated reason, brother. Probably just preference.

for the longest time he was stage right. Might have more to do with the venues direct box setup for bass.

Yeah i did wonder whether it was something site specific. It does seem slighly unorthodox though because how many other bands have you seen where a performer often switches sides? Perhaps its just another idiosyncratic thing they do to distance themselves from most other bands out there. Wonder if Buzz has any preference tho.
