I will bet the Images look that way partly because All Printing is digital these days...Im sure the original Album covers were not.

It looks pixelated on Ozma/Bullhead but Eggnog/Lice All looked good. Only listened to the first side of Bullhead so far but it sounds great. The bass on Ligature is ridiculous!

The Boner reissues are beautifully pressed and in that respect, superior to my first issues.  This is a win-win situation for Melvins and fans alike.  If you missed them the first time around, you will have an excellent listening experience here.  It's a bit of a bummer that it took so long to give Melvins' Boner recordings the respect and honor that they deserve.  In fact, Melvins figured out some time ago to take it upon themselves to put out very special and satisfying vinyl releases. You gotta pay handsomely for these collectables!  A fan with limited funds deserves to own these vinyl beauties!!  The first presses are way out of some folks' price-range these days.  Some of us were very lucky to have picked them up and preserved them along the way. The later half of the "win-win" is that now we can really preserve our earliest versions.  I know that I will now go to these reissues when I need a fix!!  The packaging is wonderful too...

Sorry, mine are still in shrink (opened only on the opening).  If I have time, I will slide the jackets out of the shrink and post pics.  Hopefully, someone here is less anal than I am and opened their gatefold?  If so, please post pics!!

couldnt Agree more...now if only they would do something about the Stag and Honky Pressings.  :-k

I still Laugh about how I bought Bullhead Sealed for about 14.99 back in time.

Same with Lysol and honky...took me awhile to find them, but I eventually got em, cheap way back in the day.

Trey Spruance has the right idea with his Recordings on Vinyl, Double Twelve inches at 45 RPM.

another thing to mention is that High end on Record pressings have been Slightly boosted from what Ive been told.



I wont Go in about the pressings until I have dropped the plunger on my Re-issue as it spins upon my TT platter.

I said it before and say it to you again;

Screw Flipping Records all night!  Tape em!

Reels, and Cassettes man!

nothing like Hearing the needle Drop and the Dead air, those final Seconds on the safe Sex side before the guitar on Zodiac kick in.

I want to know something about these, do you guys hear any noise on the Dead Air That sounds something like someone blowing into a Microphone...

The 180g Re-issues of Classic Records have some weird un-accountable aural Anomaly to them the original pressings never had.

Wondering if its to do with Anything happening between the analog digital Conversion.

Theres been no resolved debate about the weird noise on the 180g Re-issue Lps out there.

While these recordings were most likely Half-Track Masters and probly Half Inch 16-Track Tapes, I wonder how the Remaster happened. An all analog Mastering will cost you 12 Grand a day easy, if you can even find the one guy who still does that kind of work.


PS. I refuse to make a joke here about you owning boners.  :lol: :P
