I thought it would be good to start a thread of other bands/groups/people covering Melvins songs.
I plan to do some Melvins covers on my bass so I'll post them when I'm done :)
My favorite thing about Melvins is the goofy personality | These guys suck and Buzz is a pretentious hipster dork | This sounds nothing like Metallica. | Dales Dad was a drum, its in his blood. | King Buzzo's hair probably holds a lotta secrets | what the fuck is a stee? | Melvins as a way of life

Was just thinking of this, Monkey3 does a superb Lividity cover. A shame I can't share it, the wrong song is on YouTube.

Covers are the best when it sounds like a song written by the band covering it.

I agree. I love Brian Eno's original version of Third Uncle, but always thought Bauhaus' version sounded like they wrote it

Very nice!  Buck Owens is in my top 10 Melvins songs.

The closest I've come was my first band doing a cover of Paper Cuts specifically because Dale played drums on it.  Sheesh....that was over 20 years ago.  :shock:

You guys want to know something, I have successfully FAILED at ever getting any other band mate or Band Ive ever been in to cover one single Stinking melvins tune...I swear to god its not possible to be done.  :cry: :facepalm:

I must have played in well over 2 dozen bands in the last 15 years.

Its Proof that everyone who plays in a regular Jackoff band Suck balls and has no Clue about good music and Like to smell their own Farts and so on.

I already wrote in the tribute thread that I'll contribute two covers :)
an oven/wispy thing (i think i'll play every instrument on this) and black bock (with my brother).

I'll record the tracks in like one or two weeks (i'm currently on a school trip in bella italia)
