Sorry if it's not cool to just jump in here and start a request thread with my first post but I couldn't find any page of rules forbidding such shenanigans. I'm just wondering if Melvins are gonna be touring the UK with Big Business, with Jeff Pinkus or with somebody else? Obviously any Melvins is great (though I must admit I kinda have my fingers crossed for them touring with BB) but I'm seeing them on this tour and am taking somebody who's not too familiar with their music. They've asked me to play them a couple of tracks that are likely to be performed at the gig so they might know a few by the time we see them. The trouble is, beyond Night goat and maybe The Bit knowing the remote likelihood of them playing a track seems to depend upon knowing who's going to be playing with them.

I realise this info probably isn't even out there yet (and I have tried Google, which is how I found this place) but I'm just wondering if anybody can at least speculate on the possibility of the lineup. I noticed they've been playing with Pinkus for a while now but then a few recent shows seem to have been with BB, so I'm wondering if that's because they've reformed the four piece group or if that was just a matter of Melvins and BB taking advantage of their separate tours lining up for a night or two or what.

Anyway, sorry again if this request shouldn't have been posted here and thanks in advance for any help.

Hello there. The UK tour is with the BB guys. Buzz, Dale, Jared and Coady. Without wishing to spoil the setlist for you, they play some of the four piece material, a few old 90's classics and a couple of the new songs that were on 'Hold It In'.

Says the one who is barely interested in Melvins and who has never or will never witness them live!

Ha, yeah i know. Im interested in the band on a moderate level but yes you got that live bit dead right. I feel that way with ALL bands though. Im not very interested in live shows. Or at least being there to witness them, im happy just watching the occasional clip. For me music has always been more about the recorded side of things. The records themselves rather than a live show. A gig comes and goes but the stuff put to tape is more permanent and special i feel.

I can assure you that a gig with Melvins would blow your mind. They play in Manchester, get a ticket!

Damn that's good news. I haven't been this excited for a gig in a long time (I haven't been excited for a gig at all in a long time but still). Thanks a ton for the info.

Also, slightly off topic but I have to say it's good to see a place like this exists. I had no idea there was still an active Melvins dedicated forum out there, let alone one with seemingly decent people on it. Thanks again.

Seemingly decent?
We are all assholes on here :D

But finally someone in europe who likes to see melvins with BB.
We wont become friends.
:D
Has two bands with ridicolous names.

Be fair, people. I said seemingly decent. Ted Bundy was a seemingly decent fella until you let your guard down and he cracked your head open with a rock. I didn't mean to offend by suggesting you were any different. I'm sure you're not.
