If the rest of the movie is like those two trailers i would say this film is going to be a real waste of money. A watch once and then never again scenario. With 1 minute of each show i can see some fans who don't know what they're getting with this being pretty disappointed. Nah i'll catch it on youtube.

If this isn`t Conda who has manipulated Ians text, then Ian is in for some real digital wedgie. What are you thinking about, Ian, don`t you know the consequences? And why, my friend, so negative?

Across the...., is that Melvins own movie?

something tells me that it isn't going to be all that rewarding as a film. For me personally anyway. Perhaps others will enjoy it i guess. I always find music DVD's kind of disappointing though i must say.
I'm buying it because it says Melvins on it. Don't feel left out later.  :buzz:

Really wish this was a pro-shot HD concert film of the dang Freak Puke set, but oh well!  :?

You're wrong, it'll be awesome. It's like you've never seen any rock and roll movies. #FAIL

I kinda agree most bands DVD's are crap and probably the only band I could watch more than once was Pantera's behind the scenes/tour videos because they were hilarious especially Vulgar Video. To this day my brother and I still recite lines from those vids at each other.

Two things with this Melvins 51/51 DVD that stick out a) it only goes for about an hour when at minimum should be at least two hours and b) a full live set from one of the shows or a set's worth of live footage from numerous shows should have been included.

The feeling I get from the trailer is that it'ss supposed to be a document of the tour. Kind of like Zappa's Baby Snakes. Some performances (or not) with a mix of tour insanity documentation.

The Melvins are never wrong.

I want to buy and see this, not expecting documentary of the century, but hey, it's The Melvins!

reasonably priced.  ....if I might add.

You contradict yourself so much in that post I don't even know where to begin. Having said that, you're not into it and that's fine.

This documentary feels unique and fresh, in my mind. Part of the appeal is the insanity of embarking on such a tour and going through with it.

The fact that it was filmed entirely on mobile phones is very appealing to me. There's an intimate aspect to it that's very interesting.

And Glen is absolutely right. The price is right.

I get what you're saying, though. I have a shelf full of live concert DVDs that I never, ever watch. I'll put them on sometime, but seldomly.

And yet, I watch youtube videos almost everyday.

Buzz and Dale are more verbal and better equipped verbally than most bands/artists I've heard interviewed and they are witty as hell. Rather that than some dull interviews with Om or Sleep. I can watch a 10 minute interview with them just for entertainment sake. AND Buzz could become an undergeound stand up king, he has a fantastic nose for punchlined.

Based on the trailer, it will likely be a fun watch at least once, but not a repeater. $10 bucks + cell phone footage + 1hr running time= expectations comfortably low.
Also melvins is gay cuz some of their songs are just noise, i tell you this so you all don't buy albums and find out only one two songs is good on them.

John Schuller

I think it will be a fun addition to the Melvins filmography - kind of like "Prick" is a fun part of their discography. I am excited to watch it - and I imagine I will watch it every 5 years or so.
