I bet many here will!! I'll listen later tonight and im really looking forward to hearing Steve talk. Especially regarding all things Melvins and Off. Hope he doesn't talk too much about Redd Kross though and certainly not the Melvins favourite discussion topic - baseball, ha. Thanks Butt!

I listened to it last night. Truthfully i found it a bit boring but still made it to the end. It was more conversational than i maybe expected. I think i much prefer shorter, rigid question - answer sessions because they tend to reveal more facts. Im a fact kinda guy and i like hearing specifically about bands and their music (all the underpinnings behind it) than life on the road talk or how an artist was like growing up. Those things don't interest me. Still, it wasn't Steve's fault - he was only answering the questions put to him. It's also really irritating when hosts of a podcast get all pally with their guest and saying things like "yeah i know that guy too" and the interview ends up becoming a sort of thing just between the two of them rather than something for actual broadcast for listeners.

can we say this guy is the melvins official bassist now? If so i'm happy

I heard Steven mentioned being at at Turbonegro gig on the clip, so I searched his name and Turbonegro and Voila!

Party Animals (album)
For the first time it was decided to work with an external producer: the basic tracks were all recorded in November through December, 2004 in Oslo, then finished and mixed in Los Angeles in early 2005 together with Steven Shane McDonald of Redd Kross fame, who has worked with artists such as Beck and The White Stripes. The album sound appears rather fierce, blunt and with less focus on studio production refinements in comparison to its predecessor Scandinavian Leather.

Melvins has a VERY comepetent musician and bassist, to say it mildly.
