I think Bad Mood Rising is better than Death on its own. As a double album, though, yeah this might be the top 'keeper' of the Steven era.

Hmm, i think it's tricky to say. For me comparing the Death side and BMR it's really close. Not much in it either way. But yeah both are better than PAT or Tarantula Heart which are Steven records. Actually as far as Mr McDonald goes, personally i'd chose Five Legged Dog all the way for me as the best. His style suits the acoustic stuff really well. So well i want another Melvins acoustic album with Steven on. But yeah that's not really a proper album with new material so i'm not sure that counts.

Agreed. I hope there will be a studio acoustic album with Steven and Dale. Though Trevor is always more than welcome.

Fortunately this bands fan base is m9re open minded than Metallicas.  Yeesh that was a n8ghtmare when that album came out and me, David Bowie and Buzzo think it's their best one! Great minds think alike!

I totally agree, easily the best album with Steven on it

Steven and Kevin are probably the most lively bassist the Melvins have had!  I love his air splits lol.  I love everything The Melvins do but I'll have a heart attack if they put out another Rutmanis album!
