I spoke to Dale a couple of years ago at a party in Norway the day before a consert, and he told me a funny story.

Once, in the beginning of his Melvins career, he went to a Malfunkshun concert. When he got in, he noticed this georgious women inside. He spent most of the time that night looking at her. After a few ours he asked someone who she was, because he did not have the nerve to ask her himself. His friend told him it was Andrew Wood, the late singer in Malfunkshun.

He also told me that Malfunkshun was his absolutely favourite Seattle band of all times, even now.
