So i take it that it was the same setlist as the few days before? No surprises?

No surprises. I haven't seen the Melvins change up a setlist from one show to the next since 1993. I wish they would though!!!!

Did Mario drum with OFF! or was Dale sitting in again like previously??

Yup, Mario played and Off! Kicked some ass with a small pause in the set to celebrate the stroke of midnight with free cups of champagne being passed out by the Pappy & Harriet's staff.  Speaking of which, the steaks were delicious!!

It didn't hurt that my wife and I were lucky enough to share a dinner table with Mario and his lovely wife before the show.  What seemed like the entire McDonald clan were holding down a giant table next to us!  I was barely holding my shit together, but Mario was super cool and friendly.

Was easily one of the finest Melvins performances I've ever witnessed, and I could barely see the band most of the set.  They fucking nailed it.

Redd Kross were awesome, of course. They played Teen Babes from Monsanto in its entirety (which apparently Buzz had requested) and then 4 more covers.  This was only the 3rd time they've played 'Savior Machine' by Bowie live.  They played 'Dancing Queen' by ABBA, a Ray Davies song I didn't recognize, The Quick's cover version of the Beatles 'It won't be Long' and one I'm forgetting.  Astrid and her boyfriend? joined them onstage for a Side Eyes song midway through as well.

I got to chat up sadcorps for a minute in the merch line, which was cool, especially since I didn't know it was him at the time. Amazing evening with a lot of very cool people, it really felt like a family event!
