Does anyone know how Buzzo gets the notes to "hum"? Is he using the harmonics on the fith fret or using some kind of effect?

He does this in most live shows now. I don't think he does it in the studio version.

he uses a metallic plectrum to cause pickup hum in a frequency
that sustains but allows for clear tone for the notes, it's
wafer thin and probably 2 slices of aluminum sandwiched
together with polymers.
