Anyone got any beta on the detonation festival in besancon FR? Good  venue and scene? Full set or short set? And most importantly, Will it be loud?   :o

I really hate festivals but looks like my only opportunity this year.

P.s. hiya Jules!

RIPZ! Great to hear from you! No Zurich for you this year?

Umm, am I so blind? I don't see a Zurich date. Where is the full list?

Besancon is a sat night. Big selling point for me. And actually closer for me than Zurich.

I'm guessing Berlin around the 10th.

Between the 15th and 23rd would be almost enough time for them to come to Australia do a full national tour and then head back to Europe/UK ;)

I'm getting a bit nervous it's starting to look like an Australian tour might not be on the cards this time, last year's tour was right after the Europe/UK leg in early November.

))))((((

Not that i pay too much attention to these things, but it seems that most bands only ever really tour America and Europe. At least consistently anyway. If someone lives elsewhere they are going to have to travel.

International bands of all shapes and sizes tour Australia during their album cycles. The only band of 'note' I can think of that hasn't on their most recent album cycle is RHCP which I think is the only album cycle they haven't come here for since they became huge in the early 90's.

Since I've been acutely aware of the Melvins they've done Australian tours in 1997, 2001 (supporting Tool), 2003 (Ipecac Geek Show), 2009, 2011, 2013 & 2017. There may have been others I'm unaware of too.
