We kinda hoped Coventry was on the list because of Buzz's love for World War II - Coventry was mostly destroyed by the Luftwaffe in 1940 and we noticed that Dresden (which was mostly destroyed by the RAF in 1945) was on the itinerary, too, about three weeks later. Coventry and Dresden were Twinned in 1956. There was a connection............
So are you saying the Melvins are not only louder than Soundgarden, they're also louder than bombs?  :D

Thats why I love those guys, Man oh man, I'd love to talk about WWII with those guys someday. that would be awesome.

I want to know what they think about the invasion of Russia by the Nazis.

That tour flyer is pretty interesting! When I bought Stag from Plastic Factory in Birmingham back in 1996, it came sealed with a copy of Interstellar Overdrive inside. I just thought the record shop had had a few 10"s they couldn't sell and sealed them into Stag to get rid of them. Now I see some Stag LPs came with a free Interstellar Overdrive!   8)

While looking to fill in some dates in Europe from that tour, I came across this. It looks like a PLAQUE on a wall in Dresden, just in case you need reminding for ever that Melvins played there.

I Just watched a good documentary about the 100th Bomb Group who flew in part, the Dresden mission. Very interesting history.

Maybe the Melvins read Slaughterhouse five?

Civilians thought that the bombing was incorrect, but I guess they wanted to completely break morale, it was near the very end of the war when it happened.

Same I learned how sometimes German fighter pilots would intentionally ram B-17s out of sheer frustration, ran out of ammo, guns jammed...They'd aim themselves into a Bomber and Bail out...It's like the original Rage quit.  :x

The Melvins deliberately bombed in dresden.  :buzz:
