At least you can get a train to the airport. Not like LAX. It was like Britain in the 70s. And the walk from SAN to the motel is nice. Watch out for the beggar on the corner of Pacific and West Laurel - if you tell him you have no change, he'll point you to the nearest ATM.

I would love to have heard double bass Revolve and Night Goat

They're playing it quite safe with these setlists. This lineup could explore so much more material and the third bass slot is a Three Men And A Baby no-brainer if I ever saw one. Of course these are deep cuts but I do wish they were less rigid with the sets sometimes, especially in this case playing back to back shows at the Casbah.

I think the Melvins wanted a little practice before the Chris Cornell Tribute.

With a big LA Forum show like the Chris Cornell tribute, perhaps the set list had pre-approval.
