I imagine all these classic covers will be assembled into what had been referred to as a History of Rock and Roll project. Spoonman, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Sails of Charon, Misty Mountain Urge, Data Control,  My War, Drive Back, I Saw You Shine, Ghost on a Highway, Rebel Girl, Charlie, and some others I can't recollect. Hopefully there is a Mr DNA with BB on the tapes.  Curious if it will be an album or a boxset with all kinds of other collaborative recordings. Maybe a double album with a History of Melvins LP and a History of Rock and Roll LP. I imagine we'll be hearing more about it before next summer's tour.

I bet there's a studio electric version of "Sway" then, too.

I wonder if that pretenders cover (which is awesome) would still be included after the fallout with Shitkid. Considering Buzz's modus operandi, he'd use it anyway.

))))((((

Initially i thought all these covers would be collated too but now after so much time has elapsed i'm not too convinced. Has there been extra news about this or insight from the band or someone associated with them?

needs a CCR cover  :buzz:

I'd say go with the epic opening track from Cosmo's Factory - "Ramble Tamble", or else Tombstone Shadow, or Commotion.

i'd love to hear them do very early rock songs, like 'rocket 88' or elvis or chuck berry, that kinda stuff

the bloat

I really hope that they don't just release a shitload of covers. They cover too many songs as it is and already have several albums and EPs stuffed with other peoples songs. The History of Rock and Roll sounds like a broadway musical in the making... wait... is this their next move?
