My Amrep package arrived today with Cheapy CD inside. Since my only available CD player is in the car I've only heard the first 3 1/2 tracks.

Six Pack is of course the Black Flag cover heard on the Amrep YouTube. It's great.

Power of Life I did not recognize. It sounded like a doubled recording of a written bass solo.

Science has been available to stream in advance of the Ipecac album for a while. It's great.

Mock She really immediately struck me.  Joni/Jaco is the first touchpoint I can think of but that mostly because you've got Trevor's virtuosic bass fiddling and Buzz with a very straight 70s radio harmony, but still clearly Buzz. If you've lamented any classic rock sounds from the Melvins, don't worry, I assure you this is fresh and different.

I haven't heard the last half of the record yet. Still worth it already.

It's a cover of "Shock Me" by Kiss, severely deconstructed!
